Formentera 2017

I arrived in Formentera in the summer of 2015, setting out to discover the island through watercolor, aiming to understand its blues, its movement, its transparency—the phenomenon of paradise as a holiday destination. At some point, I realized I needed to shift my perspective to move away from the conventional landscape, allowing me to capture the textures, the cast shadows, and the transparencies that fascinated me so much. As a result, a collection of paintings emerged, mostly in acrylic with some watercolor pieces—a body of work rooted in pictorial experimentation, a search for textures, for possible perspectives, for absence, for boldness. Aerial views, expanses of color, emptiness, and the subtlety of detail seen from afar culminate in "De Dalt a Baix."

En un momento entendí que debía cambiar la perspectiva para huir del paisaje formal, para poder reflejar las texturas, las sombras proyectadas , las transparencias que tanto me fascinaban. Como resultado surgió una colección de pinturas hechas en acrílico en su mayoría y alguna acuarela, nació un trabajo de experimentación pictórica, búsqueda de texturas, de posibles miradas, de ausencia, de rotundidad. Las vistas aéreas, las masas de color, el vacío, la sutileza del detalle visto desde la lejanía son el desenlace en “De Dalt a Baix”.
